Most of the Honeycutters' set consisted of original music composed by Platt, but two covers they played showed their debt to the diversity of Americana music that originated outside of Nashville. With Merle Haggard's “Little Ole Wine Drinker Me,” they paid tribute to their honky-tonk roots in the Bakersfield sound.
The band played well to the mixed crowd. Amanda Anne showed good judgment when, in introducing a song about the ladies of the night on Polk Street, in San Francisco, she spoke in such a way that the adults very clearly understood her

Established in 1961 with the aim of educating the UK, and the world, about American cultural history, it was perhaps fitting that this was the final venue for Amanda Anne Platt & The Honeycutters
