Amy Shark opened her Sadness Tour in Auckland last night bringing joy to fans young and old who hadn’t seen the Aussie singer/songwriter since 2018.
Amy Shark is only two albums into her career, but she's already created a discography that has soundtracked the heartbreaking, romantic and emotionally charged moments of people's lives.
Patrons steadily filed into the cinema-cross-gymnasium-style venue on the Sunshine Coast and took their seats itching with excitement. First up was Gold Coast alt-pop singer and producer Cult Romance, rocking liberty spikes and a white leather jacket.
Amy Shark's triumphant homecoming show at The Riverstage wasn't just a celebration of a Queensland girl coming home after a whirlwind world tour but it also marked her biggest headlining show to date.
Australian singer/songwriter Amy Shark had an eventful journey to the first UK gig on her tour, after finding two migrants hiding in her tour bus. Her album, Love Monster, is already award-winning in Australia after single ‘Adore’ hit the Triple J rotation, and she has a cult (her own word) following in the UK too
