Annuals are an indie rock band formed in 2003 in Raleigh, North Carolina, United States. The band consists of Adam Baker (vocals, synthesizer/guitar), Kenny Florence (guitar/lapsteel), Anna Spence (keyboards/vocals), Mike Robinson (bass), Zack Oden (guitar/drums) and Nick Radford (drums).
Resembling Oliver Reed at his most rat-spangled he's clutching the mic-stand and shaking violently, drooling at the mouth, hair standing on end and teeth gnashing loudly.
North Carolina's Annuals certainly seem to have taken a hefty pinch of inspiration from Win Butler and co but unfortunately they rarely get close to matching their mentors' consummate knack for melody mood and drama.
