Bobby Long (September 18, 1985) is a British singer-songwriter whose largely acoustic body of work has its roots in folk. Born Robert Thomas Long in Wigan, near Manchester, he moved at age 4 to Calne in Wiltshire, where he grew up, though he still holds deep roots in Wigan.

Bobby Long has found himself a flourishing home in this middle ground however a point not of indecision but of movement and change from a solo musician to recording and performing with a full band.
Material: Under the umbrella of singer-songwriter, Bobby Long’s music resides somewhere between folk, rock and acoustic with a twist of alternative. You can’t easily liken him to any particular artist, but some of his influences are songwriters like Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen, which is reflected in his poetic leaning.
The Wigan-born singer who's from 'just down the road' performed a beautiful set on Wednesday night, featuring songs from his newest album Ode to Thinking.
Essentially, that translates into a flavourless, sad sack cocktail of “stab-yourself-in-the-stomach” lyrics and generic, barely noticeable bar band instrumentation… and a harmonica.
