Like settlers of their own individual islands made of multiple instruments – synthesizers, keyboards and microphones – the six band members of Bon Iver are spaced out across the stage.
As Perth’s heat alleviated for a few days, audiences were granted a balmy night at Red Hill Auditorium as Bon Iver and Gordi performed under the stars.
Me (a casual Bon Iver fan actively trying to troll my die-hard Bon Iver fan mate before the show): I really hope he opens with “Skinny Love”. Imagine the scenes.
CARM is a project with Trever Hagen another inspirational trumpet player originally from Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Camerieri joked about trumpet players who constantly discuss their mouthpieces, Hagen apparently doesn’t use one, so that was what helped him decide to work with him!
