An unlikely duo, Broken Bells play a polished set at The Masonic
He wasn’t much more engaging when Broken Bells began performing in early 2010, preferring to stay in the shadows, rarely moving more than a step or two from his mic stand.
But here they are now a four-piece live outfit standing between a messy elaborately visual stage set-up and a sold-out crowd at Chicago’s Vic Theater their second stop on another national tour behind a third studio release.
Tonight the pair are joined by five other band members to deliver their melodious neatly constructed songs against a backdrop of sympathetically glowing circles splodges and gently spinning geometric shapes.
