Cake Wasn't Left Out in the Rain and Houston Fans Rejoiced
CAKE brought their An Evening With CAKE tour to Charlotte's Skyla Credit Union Amphitheatre on August 7th. The venue was packed and the crowd was ready for a killer show!
The sardonic California alt-rock band charmed a capacity Meijer Gardens crowd Wednesday with quirky instrumentation, trademark dry wit and a mix of old and somewhat-new songs. Review, photos.
But since for a while there in the mid-to-late 1990s they were inescapably part of my alt-rock universe I wandered over to catch their set feeling a kind of indifferent nostalgia.
