Having crammed in half a dozen gigs in the last couple of weeks my own personal tour came to a close with a visit to, what for me is a new venue, The Sun Inn, nestled in the heart of the historic Minster town of Beverley.
While the kids were getting on down at TRNSMT a couple of miles down the road, the sensible folk headed to Glasgow's south side Glad Café for an engaging night of music from Oklahoma and East Nashville as performed by Carter Sampson and Amelia White.
In this weird period of time where a pandemic still looms in the background, but some states have moved to bars being open, it seems that live music is slowly becoming a thing once again. To be honest, it still doesn't feel normal, or like the “old days” quite yet.
Oklahoma's own Carter Sampson had a big day Friday 10/26. Her new album “Lucky” was released by Tulsa's Horton Records, and she played her first of several album release shows to commemorate its release.
