Monday night gigs can be a challenge, but this particular one, on the eve of a public holiday (24 April), may as well have been on a Saturday; and it was very clear by the mood of the packed Stay Gold that there wouldn't be many people setting alarms for the Anzac Day dawn service the next morning.
Cloud Nothings stormed through The Independent in San Francisco on Wednesday, November 30th with a characteristically melodic and propulsive set. Celebrating the 10th anniversary of breakout record Attack on Memory, they played the album in full, along with choice singles from their decade-plus-long career.
Cloud Nothings' return to Glasgow on a Monday night in late January is sparsely attended, feeling like an opportunity missed for the band's fans to hear their new album played in full followed by the hits
