It was a fascinating set packed with various influences and altogether deeply entrancing.
It is always pleasing when a support band complements the main act of the night so well; it's like the perfect entrée leading you into the tantalizing main course of the evening. And that is exactly what Australian 3 piece Crooked Colours were tonight.
It’s hard to even look such is the visual barrage and when I do for as long as my retinas can stand I only see a manic silhouette flinging itself around long hair whipping about like a dervish having a fit.
The group’s growing appeal is easy to understand while listening to one of their three self-tiled LPs at high volume or when engulfed live in their pulsing beats and bleep-bloop aesthetic.
