Despite keeping busy with so many projects and collaborations, Cut Chemist finally released “Die Cut”, his second solo album in 12 years, satiate Vancouver’s hunger for fresh tracks, and closing out his West Coast tour.
Turntable auteur DJ Shadow has performed conceptual sets with Jurassic 5’s Cut Chemist before; their legendary Product Placement mixtape lifted liberally from jingles and funky commercials.
His all-embracing DJ sets at block parties in the South Bronx not only helped define the culture of the Big Apple during the '70s but established the pathways for early hip-hop and electronic music.
After leaving both groups he then began collaborating with the legendary DJ Shadow on a number of projects before the two began a worldwide tour selling out countless venues.
