Critic Consensus
Based on 30 concert reviews, the critic consensus is that Damien Dempsey is rated as a watchable live performer, with shows that lack distinction. Damien Dempsey concert reviews describe live shows and performances as dazzling, lively, and authentic.
Damien Dempsey (born 1975 in Donaghmede, Dublin) is an Irish singer and songwriter who mixes traditional Irish folk with contemporary lyrics to deliver social commentary on the positive and negative aspects arising from Ireland's Celtic Tiger society. He sings in English, and to a lesser extent in Irish.
By his own admission Damien Dempsey is a bit like Marmite; well I admit to loving both, so that inevitably colours my opinion of Damo's latest public offering, an 18-date run of a (kind of) one-man show in Ireland's national theatre, The Abbey, in Dublin.
Damo swooped in with a late contender for gig of the year at Vicar Street, Dublin on Friday night.
Stevie smashed the delf, cause he cant express himself.
