Dan Deacon (born 1981) is a Baltimore, Maryland-based electronic music composer/performer. He attended the Conservatory of Music at Purchase College in Purchase, New York, where he played in many bands, including tuba for Langhorne Slim and guitar in the improvisational grindcore band Rated R.

Support came from Lone Taxidermist (artist Natalie Sharp) whose mix of pounding techno, mangled bass, wonky electronics and comical/scary vocals makes a lasting impression.
Dan Deacon is nothing if not an entertainer – and he makes the audience a hugely important part of the show. No wonder the crowd went mental at The Grand Social in Dublin last night.
Like living inside your favourite 1970s children’s TV show a Deacon live show is giddy colourful and may well be guilty of having eaten too many sweets.
