Sydney, Australia's DEEP SEA ARCADE's reverberated pop recalls guitar based music from across the ages yet with a character and charm that is undeniably unique. The group began as a songwriting and home recording project for founding members and school mates Nic McKenzie and Nick Weaver when they were in their mid teens.

The band backs onto large windows that open onto King Street so while the band rips into their set you watch as people stroll behind eating ice creams.
Perhaps a perfect atmosphere for the Sydney band to perform in I feel like I've turned up to a party that's already in full swing and am the only sober person in the room.
Tickets were sold out, but the place wasn’t claustrophobically crowded. Morning Harvey were the first support to play early in the night. These guys are a five piece unsigned band who claim to sound like love, but come closer to pleasant indie rock.
The Preatures come on stage to a welcoming all-ages crowd at The Metro. From the very start of their set, they show enthusiasm and appreciation to be supporting Deep Sea Arcade. They play to an almost full venue but most people are sitting down on the steps.
Though I rocked up just as Adelaide’s Swimming were just finishing up there was a decent amount of people who’d turned up early for the show which proved to be a great sign for the rest of the night.
I’ve brought with me a crowd having seen Deep Sea Arcade a few weeks ago when they performed in Sydney for the same tour and have convinced them to come to this sold out Adelaide show – we know talent when we hear it.
