Unfortunately, I missed the sets by haarp and Warbeast, who are actually on Phil Anselmo’s Housecore Records label, and from what I heard, I missed two really amazing sets.
Starting things off were Weedeater whose excellent set may have been a bit too aggressive for many in the crowd with their feedback-laden slow-mo sludge bringing to mind Eyehategod in all the right ways.
Pure metal heavyweights Down (ADA/Warner) fronted by Pantera’s Phil Anselmo made a pit stop at Piere’s in Fort Wayne to a formidable Friday night crowd.
