Duane Betts, born on April 16, 1978, is the son of guitar player, Dickey Betts, co-founder of the legendary Allman Brothers Band. Duane was named for Duane Allman, Dickey’s bandmate who was killed tragically in a motorcycle accident in 1971.
Betts and his band Palmetto Motel played StageOne in Fairfield, Connecticut, to promote his latest release on one of the hottest days of the summer. The band was in the middle of a tour of the northeast and it was obvious they were firing on all cylinders.
A show that started out as an intimate guitar duet between talented blues rockers ended up as delightful friends and family affair in Venice, California.
The devoted that ventured to this terrific Southern Massachusetts venue on a sticky summer Tuesday certainly had its share of Allman Brothers Band fans amongst them.
