Bio
Country singer/songwriter Elizabeth Cook made her debut on Grand Ole Opry on March 17, 2000, appearing repeatedly thereafter - a remarkable achievement considering that, at the time, she was an indie artist with no radio airplay.

Where do you even begin to describe Elizabeth Cook? Do you begin with her work? Singer, Sirius XM Outlaw host, voiceover actress? Or do you describe her past? The youngest daughter of a hillbilly singer and a moonshiner who played bass in a prison band? Favorite guest of David Letterman?
Sitting in a chair, jacket thrown over the back, tall lamp standing next to her and a natural ability to make a room full of people her best friends in the world, Cook told stories, cracked jokes and sang songs for about 90 minutes.
Elizabeth Cook and Waylon Payne had two of my favorite albums released last year — Aftermath and The Queer, The Harlot, the Pusher and Me — so I was extremely excited about Saturday evening's show at the Union Stage. Payne opened the show with a 45-minute solo acoustic set, and Cook headlined with her full band, Gravy.
Both the intro and the song, parts of a very appealing 90 minute early evening performance last night at Cosmic Charlie’s, flirted with – and eventually shredded – stereotypes.
