Tonight, sees Girli play to a sold-out crowd in Manchester on the first date of her ‘Really F**ked It Up’ tour in the UK. The pink pop princess with a spiky punk edge is known for her zero fucks attitude and feisty lyrics focusing on feminism and sexuality.
The first support act to take to the stage was Liverpool's own Amber Jay. Amber's sound, which comprises innovative bedroom pop production, gentle impassioned vocals, and heartfelt lyricism, is exceptionally captivating, playful, and cinematic.
People flow in and out of the room due to Ms Jones promising the signing of boobs if merch is purchased and as time ticks on, everyone makes their way back to the stage. The room falls silent as the lights dim and is then quickly filled with cheers as Girli makes her way center stage.
Her army of glittery Welsh fangirls and a few plucky fanboys are more than willing to pick up the slack, and; makes for a bouncy opener that has the whole room jumping in unison.
