Forty years ago, the notion that Dario Argento’s movie Suspiria would become the revered cult classic that it is today would have been dismissed as total poppycock.
But with the recent surge in popularity with their music as well as horror soundtracks (see Death Waltz Recording Company who just issued a new Goblin tour EP) the now 41-year-old band have found a new lease on life.
Not enough of us openly embrace the weird (despite the internet suggesting otherwise), and it was case in point when the world's greatest living prog band could only pull enough punters to fill half the Metro.
The Night Terrors kicked off the evening, enchanting the audience with music resembling the combination of Star Wars-esque sound effects and synth dreamscapes.
Its gothic facade and interior are a fitting environment for tonight's performance by Claudio Simonetti and his version of the renowned 70s band Goblin.
