Critic Consensus
Based on 31 concert reviews, the critic consensus is that Jamie Lidell is rated as a neither good nor bad live performer, with mediocre shows overall. Jamie Lidell concert reviews describe live shows and performances as infectious.
Jamie Lidell (born September 18, 1973, Huntingdon, England) is a musician and soul singer, signed to Warp. Famed for his largely improvised shows, that see Jamie constructing his tracks live, voicing and layering right in front of your eyes, effortlessly whipping them out of the air and forging them into clanking electro riffs and deathprod funk grooves.
While Lidell knows how to surround himself with phenomenal musicians — his most recent album Compass features the likes of Beck and Feist — he becomes a one-man powerhouse when he takes the stage.
Headlining another of the iTunes Festival’s free nights at KOKO Lidell seems something like an outre choice in a line-up for the month that also includes the uber-beige James Blunt and The Feeling.
