Bio
Jeff Austin (April 25, 1974 - June 24, 2019) was a mandolinist and singer best known for being a part of the Yonder Mountain String Band. Although Austin was born in Arlington Heights, he grew up in Elk Grove, Illinois and attended Rolling Meadows High School.
The performance proved loud and clear that the future is bright for Jeff Austin and his compadres and that Austin is anything but done playing music after his separation from Yonder Mountain String Band earlier this year.
The mandolin-man of Yonder Mountain String Band built his following beside his band-mates based upon a loyal fanbase and always keeping it interesting for them.
Each act brings some dust with them for us to kick up with our salt-laden boots here in the grossest chunk of Chicago's calendar: the January / February slush.
