Sugarland singer to headline NWOC 2016 tour with Brandy Clark, Lindsay Ell and Tara Thompson
That’s been the case with Neil Diamond, Dixie Chicks and Johnny Cash, and it it’s the same for Jennifer Nettles, whose impressive solo debut, That Girl, came out earlier this year.
Early on in her Friday night performance at The Riverside Theater, she informed the near-capacity venue that of course there would be country, but also other music that means something to her, including rock, gospel and singer/songwriter.
As country tracks blasted through the venues sound system, the chatter was obvious, but not overpowering – that was reserved for the moment the lights dimmed and Jennifer Nettles and band took the stage.
