John Jorgenson (born 6 July 1956, in Madison, Wisconsin) is an American musician. Although best known for his guitar work with bands such as the Desert Rose Band and The Hellecasters, Jorgenson is also proficient in the mandolin, mandocello, Dobro, pedal steel, piano, upright bass, clarinet, bassoon and saxophone.

Many identify bluegrass music with the classic bluegrass music of Bill Monroe, or Earl Scruggs and Lester Flatt. While that represents the roots of bluegrass, the music has evolved, even developing into distinct styles.
J2B2, aka John Jorgenson Bluegrass Band, premiered their forthcoming CD, From The Crows Nest, releasing mid-July, in an acoustically perfect intimate theatre at BMI headquarters here.
