Josh Rouse (born 1972 in Paxton, Nebraska) is an American roots/melodic folk singer. From his first album, Dressed Up Like Nebraska, in 1998, he has won critical acclaim.

That winning combo was fully in evidence from the start and nicely enhanced by The Locks' intimacy. Though it was a cold winter's night outside, the atmosphere inside was warm and convivial thanks to Rouse's easy, charming banter and at times self-deprecating sense of humor.
While promoting his latest studio album Happiness Waltz the American folk-pop singer-songwriter from Nebraska (now based in Spain) engages the audience by opening with the classic Dressed Up Like Nebraska from his debut album of the same title.
His delivery and vocal style is full of soul and warmth and he likes to make gentle jokes in-between songs, like when telling the audience how beautiful they all were and then admitting that he couldn’t see anything because of his sunglasses.
