It might have been a Sunday night and it might have been father’s day but that didn’t stop a sizeable crowd come out for Radin’s first ever gig in Perth; the chillest place on earth apparently.
His daily recommendations of new bands are available on his blog and he handpicks his film soundtracks with his own personal favourite artistes (memorably Natalie Portman’s character in Garden State claimed that The Shins will change your life).
Joshua Radin came to music late, not picking up a guitar until he was 30. But he was a natural, easily composing songs soon after he started playing. His music was found quickly by Zach Braff, who used it in the TV sitcom Scrubs, boosting Radin's profile, which he since maintained.
This Fall, Joshua Radin and the Weepies have been touring the USA performing both of their intimate live acoustic acts. Two weeks ago, we got a chance to catch this amazing lineup at Gramercy Theater in NYC.
