Irish shoegaze ensemble Just Mustard reigned in a devoted crowd for the final evening of Electric Picnic. Found beneath the 3 All For Music tent, the up-and-coming collective constructed an ethereal backdrop to showcase their uniquely alluring sound.
Embarking on tour in the wake of their freshly released second album, Irish rockers Just Mustard stopped in Dublin to headline The Academy on Friday night.
A week on from the release of their second album ‘Heart Under’, mind-blowing Irish visionaries Just Mustard took to Dublin’s Academy last Friday on the first night of their European tour, playing 12 songs on what was an at times brooding, but mostly dream-like performance.
Without wishing to dwell on sonic reference points or stylings, there’s definitely a whiff of 1991 in the air this evening. However, it’s unlikely any of the eight members of either band were even born back then, so its just as well the music they create is arguably among the most refreshing in many a year.
