The tight-lipped ladies of La Luz are the embodiment of cinematic cool tonight in Glasgow's Mono
It certainly felt like a summer's eve what with the sweltering temperature inside the Horseshoe Tavern and the surf-rock stylings of the Los Angeles four-piece filling the air.
Nearing the end of a three-month international tour you might expect a band to flag somewhat; but throughout a passionate and technically excellent set from the Seattle-based band there is nothing but enthusiasm and energy on display.
While they can be heavily linked to groups of their liking (Dum Dum Girls, for instance), one can easily see why they specifically were picked to open for one of the most explosive sets this year.
