Indeed, it’s hard to explain why, having been given a rare chance to catch one of our favourite singers, we ended up leaving early.
Delivering songs both old and new with immense charm and panache as he prowled about the stage Leonard's voice may have become far deeper than it was back in the sixties but his passion remains strong.
Impeccably dressed Cohen thanked the crowd for endangering their household budgets to come see the show; they thanked him with several standing ovations throughout the night.
At 79 years old Cohen doesn’t look to be slowing down any treating his Perth fans to a three-hour set that featured a good twenty songs and not one but two encores – and you got the impression he probably could have kept going.
