Signed to Warp, LoneLady is a pseudonym of Manchester, UK musician, songwriter and producer Julie Campbell. Her psychogeography-inspired second album Hinterland was released in March 2015 to widespread critical acclaim, and shows dance and funk influences coming to the fore.

NEW ORDER decided to return to UK live performances in style, after an 18-month enforced break due to Covid. This gig could be viewed as a warm-up gig to the one in their home town of Manchester, a couple of days later.
“These new songs are new to me too,” a sheepish Campbell confesses as she looks around the room attempting to cut through the chatter and gauge the reaction.
By the end of the evening, Lonelady has given a solid performance (albeit one marred slightly by the frequent and poorly balanced use of shrill synth tones by an overzealous keyboardist) that one crowd member describes as a solid midweek gig.
