Formerly of mid 90s electro-indie bands The Auteurs and Black Box Recorder, this legendary front man has gone solo with a hip-hop/pop pastiche sound to play to a well establised following of fans.
The evening’s entertainment played out with two backing musicians on drums and guitar/keys in Bush Hall’s just-right confines to an audience that looks devoted rather than freshly found divides into three unequal parts.
They were fronted by the intimidating snarling voice of Luke Haines who wrote lyrics about child abduction and showgirls and sang them with an acid tongue.
