Prog Legends Marillion Ensure Their Legacy With Note-Perfect Cardiff Show
Marillion and their Friends From The Orchestra, played to a packed Royal Concert Hall last night to celebrate thirty years of front man Steve Hogarth joining the band following the departure of former vocalist Fish in late 1988, and what a celebration it was.
That all changed Thursday evening as the band finally played their first area show here since an outing on the outdoor stage at the now defunct Sinbad’s night club back in 1990.
The five-member, genre-defying prog-rock-pop group played in front of a massive screen with surreal visuals projected throughout the set to a sea of the bobbing heads of mainly middle-aged husband and wife duos.
