Midge Ure OBE (born James Ure on October 10, 1953 in Cambuslang, Lanarkshire, Scotland) is a pop and rock and roll musician from Scotland, known for his particular success as a guitarist and singer-songwriter in the 70s and 80s. His stage name, "Midge", is a phonetic reversal of his real name, "Jim".

A Monday night trip to the City Hall in Sheffield, suffice to say it was well worth the effort for the first night of Midge Ure’s much anticipated and Covid delayed ‘Voice and Visions’ tour.
Midge Ure is best known for his years in the classic lineup of Ultravox from 1979 until the first breakup in 1987, and then the reunion years of 2008 to 2013. Ultravox was best known as a synthpop new wave and almost gothic-sounding band.
