One of the many things I'm happy to see survived the Lockdown is the Skidmore Jazz Institute.
A sold-out Miguel show awaited and the loyal droves were oblivious of the cold in anticipation for the modern soul star gearing up to perform a set from his recent studio album — and in the hope of a few older hits.
A bitterly cold winter's eve in Auckland hosted a silky hot performance by Miguel, who was flawlessly slaying at Logan Campbell, for a tight and friendly night of classics and new faves. Warmed heartily by DJ Sirvere's expert set, his cuts to get the people moving had the crowd primed.
