Dutch/Kiwi trio My Baby brought their Acoustic Blues Club Tour to Auckland proving that their brand of voodoo blues is as vibrant as ever, more than a decade after they formed and just months away from their next studio album.
After a fairly indifferent start to what's supposed to have been summertime, the heat came to Napier's iconic Cabana, brought by the culturally mixed combo of My Baby.
Based in Amsterdam, My Baby consists of brother and sister team, Joost and Cato Van Dijk, with Joost on drums, percussion and backing vocals and Cato singing lead and playing violin and rhythm guitar.
Yet once in a while you might just stumble upon something quite wonderful, realising you arrived just before the rest of the crowd come in like moths to a flame.
