Olof Arnalds could easily be placed in the same category especially as she has toured with Bjork – yet her talent is distinctively unique.
Scenic haunting landscapes – all words we’re guilty of throwing in their direction thanks to the country’s big players like Bjork Sigur Ros and Gus Gus.
Arnalds doesn’t disappoint: right from the opening song her warm ambling voice soars deep into every corner of the church whose acoustics lend a helping hand in creating a wonderfully rich cultured sound.
Cousin to neo-classical composer Olafur Arnalds, olof falls nothing short in comparison as she pays homage to her classical roots by stringing together elusive chord progressions and hypnotising, sweet melodies.
It is certainly not surprising to find that she used to be a touring member of mum, as she entertains East London in Shoreditch’s craft-beer selling hotel, music venue, Ace Hotel.
