Parker Millsap is an American singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Purcell, Oklahoma playing a blend of blues, country, alt-country/Americana, and folk music. Influenced by his Pentecostal Church and the Blues Radio Times, with his parents Millsap created a sound between country, alt-country, folk, traditional.
Parker Millsap first appeared in Columbus nearly five years ago. The son of a Pentecostal minister, his performance of blues, folk, and country originals and covers was something of a lightning rod for the aged conflict between the sacred and profane.
Taking the stage first was OKC resident Chase Kerby and his band The Villians. The band features members of Horse Thief, including Alberto Roubert on drums, Zach Zeller on keys and Alex Coleman on guitar.
