Personal Trainer is an indie rock band from Amsterdam, The Netherlands, fronted by Willem Smit, who also fronted Canshaker Pi, plays the guitar in Steve French and is an omnipresent force in the Amsterdam indie scene. Personal Trainer started out as a somewhat experimental side project of Canshaker Pi.
In 1644 Dutch Governor Peter Stuyvesant surrendered New Amsterdam, the capital of New Netherlands, to a British Force that had been organised by the Duke of York. And thus the Big Apple got its name.
