Ratdog, also known as Bob Weir & Ratdog, is an American rock band. The group began as a side project for Grateful Dead rhythm guitarist Bob Weir and bassist Rob Wasserman that toured for seven years under names such as Weir/Wasserman and Scaring the Children.

Two weeks after our country rejoiced and welcomed a new sign of hope in the free world with the election of Barack Obama Ratdog brought the house down.
Here are just a couple highlights I took home from the industrial cavernous nouveau concert hall:; Gov't Mule eloquently reminded us what Soulshine is all about and the encouraged the bliss of disappearing into the infinite of one's potential.
Over the years—especially in the last two or three—the band has seemed ever more comfortable as a performing unit, and ever more essential a concert force.
Who takes the time and effort to write about something they don't like? I have always tried to use the written word to elevate not dissect or discredit.
The death of Jerry Garcia eight years ago may even have helped to unlock the potential of the surviving members who deciding the time was right to launch a full-scale Dead reunion last year featuring Joan Osborne as lead vocalist.
