Ray LaMontagne (born Raymond Charles Jack LaMontagne on June 18, 1973, in Nashua, New Hampshire) is an American folk singer-songwriter currently living in western Massachusetts. In 2010 he began recording as Ray LaMontagne and the Pariah Dogs.

Ray LaMontagne is a romantic. Or at least the lyrics of his songs suggest a deeply romantic and grounded lover who is consumed with everyday love that involves friendship, emotional support, and connection.
After a terrific opening set by the Canadian duo Kacy & Clayton, Ray LaMontagne took the stage at the Music Center at Strathmore recently. Accompanying him was Carl Broemel, the guitarist in My Morning Jacket.
