UK outfit Rudimental closed out the rescheduled Australian leg of their massive “Toast To Our Differences” world tour in style at Melbourne's Margaret Court Arena on Sunday night, helping to elevate their fantastic album Toast To Our Differences to even greater heights.
As the cold winter nights roll in, the Riverstage becomes a venue you don't want to be lingering around at. With the cool water breeze intertwining with the unrecognisable frosty air, the usually comfortable hillside turned into a shivering dance floor whilst in anticipation for the nights festivities to begin.
Rudimental ‘Toast To Our Differences’ tour took no time to warm up (at Adelaide Entertainment Centre 2 June) as it immediately had my heart thumping along with the bass.
Nominally a drum & bass outfit, Rudimental have become regular hitmakers thanks to a canny selection of guest vocalists paired with uplifting, radio-friendly choruses.
So brilliant was their set, that when I heard that they were coming back to Brisbane to perform their own show at The Riverstage, I knew I had to see them in full headliner flight.
My flatmate said they were the best thing about the Ed Sheeran gig back in December, and after having them push me along running around Auckland I was keen to see their high-energy set.
The tour included what was their biggest show to date at The O2 Arena on 3rd March, but more importantly for us also included an appearance at the o2 Institute.
