On a rainy Friday night in Adelaide (28 June), the chances of a sold-out show are very rare – but The Getaway Plan did it effortlessly.
However, inexperience was against them and they didn't quite hit the mark with their set, their melding of funk, heavy metal and electronica coming off as clumsy and unengaging.
Crunchy, distortion-driven guitar riffs, hard-hitting drumming and great harmonies were on offer, the band’s delivery as tight as each of the members’ pants.
