The Irrepressibles is the musical vehicle of Yorkshire-raised, Manchester based artist, composer, vocalist, and multi-instrumentalist Jamie McDermott.
It is debatable whether there is a cultural burnout though the mainstream pop scene is surely a sign of post-modern capitalist decadence as well as burnout.
Okay perhaps that's not the most eloquent review of all time but when you've just sat through an hour or so of some of the most beautiful heartfelt music ever written it seems pretty apt.
