The bands 75-minute set was filled with muddy blues hard riffs and pounding drums that would have made Robert Johnson bawl like a baby at the crossroads.
Thank God It’s Sunday! was the sentiment last Sunday night when bluesy rock band The Stone Foxes visited Philly for a high-energy set at Johnny Brenda’s.
I was lucky enough to hang out for a bit while they talked about San Francisco life and their recent NYC gig before heading back into the studio to perform a few of their songs.
The Stone Foxes have made a name for themselves as a group of explosively rowdy rock loving sports fans, but even more so as a group that excels on a stage.
So, smacked right in the middle of all this holiday brouhaha was an absolutely refreshing chance to check out The Stone Foxes at the Grammercy Theatre’s “Ho Ho Ho Down / Santapocalypse” show.
