And on this tradition the 17th annual Christmas show by California punk mainstays the Vandals was all about fun tomfoolery and punk rock.
The band put a new twist on festivities by incorporating a tiki theme for this year, and arrived to the winter wonderland on stage ready for the Hawaiian tropics.
Despite a winter rain storm and frontman Dave Quackenbush’s flu, The Vandals perservered as the band delivered its much beloved Oi to the World holiday album to a raucous group of fans donning ugly sweaters.
Now in its 20th edition, this year’s annual Christmas Formal by The Vandals was one of the more rowdy ones in recent memory, filled with fans singing at the top of their lungs and moshing almost everywhere, including the sidelines near the bar.
An OC tradition at Anaheim’s House of Blues now in its 18th year, the merry band of mischief makers perform their classic holiday album Oi to the World in its entirety along with other favorites.
