With their Dark, rhythmic Country Rock tonnes, ‘The White Buffalo’ finally return to The Kentish Town Forum in London to showcase more of their recent songs from ‘On the Widow’s Walk’ album.
The White Buffalo performed several concerts in 2020 live from The Belly Up Tavern in Solina Beach, California, a great example of artists and venues working together to reach audiences at home and raise awareness of the needs in the music industry right now.
This turns out to be is both an exhilarating and thoroughly dispiriting evening, the latter we can come to later. The White Buffalo is moving onwards and upwards. The Sons of Anarchy (plenty of t-shirts on show tonight) connections have been useful, and of course there is a certain amount of spin involved her
Americana is a broad church and The White Buffalo's music contains elements of several branches of the genre. There's tender, delicate, sometimes forlorn country telling tales of love, loss, drinking, and occasionally redemption. Elsewhere, there's powerful rock ‘n' soul and at times outright rock ‘n' roll.
