Hours before this incarnation of GHOST's lovable Anti-Pope, 20,000 people filtered into North Greenwich for their latest fix.

Uncle Acid & the Deadbeats are mind twisters. They ripped through Whammy! Bar's ears last night with their unique blend of heavy, doom metal with a 60s psychedelic rock edge. Last playing in Aotearoa in 2014, the Englanders have gone from strength to strength producing five albums, the latest of which being Wasteland.

Whammy Bar was solidly packed with black jeans and long hair on Friday 6 March, 2020 to welcome cult overlords of psychedelic doom Uncle Acid & the Deadbeats back to Auckland. Andy Baker didnt miss a minute of the action and files this report.

While waiting in the line outside of the venue, in a cool autumns night (3 March), there were more than a few hungry punters chasing any spare tickets to this sold-out show, the first sign that it's going to be a great night of music.
