Wheatus is a rock band from Northport, New York formed by Brendan Brown (vocals, guitar) in 1998. After writing a few songs, Brown enlisted his brother Peter Brown (drums) and Rich Ligey (bass) to record a demo.

A dive bar sounds like an ideal spot for the Gold Coast stop of the Dirtbags Across Australia tour.
The promotional material for the Art Alexakis, Brendan B. Brown tour indicated the two stars would be 'performing their hits, favourites and telling the stories behind the songs in an intimate acoustic setting'.
After a long succession of lineup changes and countless other hurdles, creator and frontman Brendan Brown came out the other side buzzing with energy and talent.
Brown’s voice has kept remarkably well, and on snotty tracks like Punk Ass Bitch and thrashy set-highlight Hey Mr Brown, he sounds no older than he did 15 years ago.
When were they last popular? Like 2000? It’s been seven years since the band played in Ireland, now they’re doing five gigs across the country to kick off their latest European tour.
Brendan B Brown frontman songwriter and only remaining member of the original line-up clearly carries the marks of the passing of time – but not in his voice.
