Will Butler is a multi-instrumentalist and composer best known as a founding member of the band Arcade Fire. His first solo album, Policy, was released on March 10, 2015.

The core Arcade Fire member released his debut solo album Policy in March went on his first solo tour played almost every major festival and had Emma Stone featured in the music video for his single Anna.
Taking to the stage at the operatic Rialto Theatre dressed in black tie attire Butler and his accompanying band moved through their set with ease as the modestly sized crowd danced and swayed with abandon.
In 2014 Butler was nominated for an academy award for his work on the music for the Joaquin Phoenix film Her and then in May of this year he dropped his debut solo album Policy on Merge records .
The entire night, including the opening segment by NYC-based comedian Jo Firestone, felt like one singular performance piece, just presented in separate acts.
Having released his first solo effort earlier this year, he made his first appearance in Los Angeles from underneath older brother Win Butler's shadow at the Troubadour last night.
