What’s cool and Canadian? Catching 54-40 two days before Canada Day at Maxwell’s Concerts & Events in Waterloo.
"Ten of our fifteen hits, actually," frontman Neil Osborne joked. Having only 45 minutes onstage under the tent meant little time for filler, resulting in a gratifying ten-song set of new life being breathed into older hits.
It only took a few songs for the audience to forget about the cold and Neil Osborne immediately captured the audience's attention with a confident (and kind of sassy) attitude that took the atmosphere of the room back in time.
That fall tradition just happens to be 54-40 playing two energy-packed sold-out nights to an adoring hometown crowd! If you haven’t attended one of these incredible evenings, you need to do yourself a favour and check it out.
Thanksgiving in Vancouver and 54-40 shows are synonymous events these days and it's a proper blast – a relaxed at-homey band in front of an energetic fueled-by-alcohol sold-out crowd.
