Battles is an American experimental rock band founded in New York City in 2002 and now consisting of John Stanier (of Tomahawk and The Mark of Cain, formerly of Helmet) on drums, and guitarist/keyboardist Ian Williams (formerly of Don Caballero and Storm & Stress) on guitars and keyboards.
But extra events are always announced late for the venue, as it’s well-suited for special summer events: big, open space that’s both indoors & outdoors, already set up with a stage, sponsor, and free beer, all-ages & free.
After starting with a string of EPs the band have since released four studio albums and many more EPs creating a name for themselves in the prog rock field.
